The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working . - Ja. 5:16b (ESV) The Bible abounds with verses like this one that highlights the importance and effectiveness of prayer. While I don't claim to understand all of the dynamics of prayer (i.e., how its effectiveness squares with the sovereignty and will of God), I firmly believe that prayer is vitally necessary in the life of every believer. It is also indispensible as it relates to missions.
